Using this knowledge about literary conflict, you will storyboardthree of your shots for your scene. A completed sample storyboard is shown here. (An interesting look at the storyboards behind the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, is here.)
You will shoot your video with a camcorder, and your "silent film" should be no longer than 2 minutes. Refer to steps 5,6,7 on the Process Page.
Refer to the PowerPoint presentation at the bottom of this page on Camera Shots for an explanation on the different types of shots used when making a film. NOTE: In the days of silent film, close-ups and camera movements were not used. On your storyboard, only include MEDIUM and LONG shots! DO NOT use any other shots!
You can edit your movie in either Microsoft's MovieMaker or Apple's iMovie. We will be using iMovie. Information on creating a new project in iMovie is here. Capturing your video instructions are here.
(Be sure when you search the Internet for tips in iMovie that you know what version you have! These are not instructions for iMovie 08 which is different.) iMovie 08 is a rewrite of the original iMovie.
